I see a lot of people migrating over from facebook and Myspace and making their profile on Yuwie private. To add these people as a friend you have to know their last name or email address. I don't even know those things for some of my friends in real life. They could have an odd spelling of a last name or you just plain don't know it. I see a lot of my referrals doing this and it could be the cause of their low views and their reason for quitting Yuwie.
If your profile is private and someone in your upline or downline tries to add you, but isn't well acquainted with you then you just lost a possible friend that could generate 100's or 1000's of page views. Yuwie is a social networking site that is changing the way people look at the internet. Since page views are paid I add almost anyone that requests to be friends or anyone I find interesting.
Since I'm adding more people then I normally would I have learned tons of things about people all over the world that I would have never known. The best part is, I'm getting paid for it. I've met some very creative and intelligent people on Yuwie that I wouldn't have met if my profile was private. Not everyone in social networking is a creeper or someone trying to steal your identity. As long as you don't have a lot of personal information on your profile you should be okay to branch out and meet some new people.
On the other hand if you are one of those people that have a private profile you could have some good points in keeping it that way. Some people don't really want to meet new people and are just using Yuwie to talk to existing friends and aren't really in it for the money. That is totally okay. Yuwie should be used the way you want to use it to have fun. Be creative with Yuwie and do what you want to have fun.

Yuwie Results - Not a Get Rich Quick Scam
When I'm talking to a new referral or trying to explain the concept of Yuwie to new members I often get the question, "If it's not a scam, how much have you made using it?" Well this question has more then a numerical answer. The concept of Yuwie is so powerful, that it makes me never want to use another social networking site again. The most attractive aspect of Yuwie is making money. Thats not the only reason we use it though.
When people are using facebook and Myspace they are making money for other people. They are getting paid nothing at all. They are actually basically working for someone by providing content to a site that makes money. On the other hand they could use Yuwie and get at least a piece of that money. If I had been using Yuwie the whole time I've been on Myspace and Facebook I would have at least made the minimum payout of $25.00 USD by now. How much was your payout for the others? Oh yeah, none.
Even if Yuwie did NOT have a referral system, I would still choose it over the others just because there is an opportunity to make some money. People that are signing up seem to be missing the concept that they can use Yuwie just like any other social networking site. All you have to do is login and talk to friends. No one has to refer anyone. Just get on Yuwie to chat and have fun and never check your earnings. Eventually you'll reach that $25.00 mark and be able to get a payout. Yuwie will be around for years, just like Myspace, Facebook, and other social networking sites. When you do reach the payout minimum, which might lower by then, it will be the same as the feeling you get when you find $25.00 in a coat pocket that you forgot about. Even the feeling to know you are making money to talk to your friends is such a cool concept in itself that it made me want to join. I hope this helps some people really grasp what Yuwie is all about.

Referrals: Viral Marketing Pt 2 - YouTube
I've seen many videos on YouTube and other video sites that explain what Yuwie is and how to sign up and so on. You can make an original video for YouTube and upload it and try to get some publicity that way. The best thing is that its all free. You can get a free screen recording program called CamStudio. You can use this video to record a video of your screen and it will pick up sound through a microphone.
When you make a YouTube account, pick a username that relates to the type of video you are creating. If you are making a video about Yuwie or Yuwie Referrals then make your account name something people would be interested in when they see your name. A few examples would be, GetYuwieFriendsHere, YuwieGuru, YuwieReferrals101, or something along those lines so it intrigues people to click on your profile. When they do so make sure your referral link is visible and give a brief explanation of Yuwie and what it is. If you have videos people will be able to watch them and could likely click your referral link.
The most important thing about this method is still the same - NO SPAMMING. If you spam on other people's videos with comments like "Hey check out my video " and just link to your video then people are going to already be against you. Leave sincere original comments on other related videos. The point of making an intriguing name was to attract attention without spamming. There are always ways around spamming.

Referrals: Use Viral marketing
A good way to get referrals is through viral marketing. Viral marketing is usually free marketing used to spread a referral link or piece of information to many people. Its like a virus because it keeps spreading through other people. There are tons of ways to do this.
If you are already using a social networking site such as myspace or facebook or any of the others, you can use your profile to promote Yuwie. Inform others of the services of Yuwie and how it works or show them this blog so they can read through what it is before going to the site since most people are very skeptical and will tell you they know its a scam. Inside you laugh or get frustrated knowing what they are missing out on. Make sure you don't spam though. Spamming only hurts the community and Yuwie because advertisers don't want to be on a site that spams.
On facebook I made a group for Yuwie that is about making money online and I got many referrals through the group. People joined and I explained what it was and I had a few referrals and it really helped to jump start my Yuwie page. I also made a business page for Yuwie with my referral link in it. Don't try to force anyone onto Yuwie or talk them into joining because once they sign up they will most likely become inactive because they don't know what to do and their minds are closed. Once more people catch on these might be valuable people to have in your referral tree because they will already have an account and will want to start talking to their other friends that are joining.
One thing I can not stress enough is the point to not spam. Make original informative content for people to read. Once people understand what Yuwie really is and the genuine opportunity they will come on their own, hopefully through your referral link.

Referrals : Yuwie's Pay It Forward Method
In the post before this I talked about the pay it forward method where you start with 3 referrals and they get 3 referrals and so on. At an RSR of 50 cents the visual chart would look like this:
Level|| Referrals||Page Views || Payment
1 ||||||3 |||||||||||3,000 ||||||||$0.15
2 ||||||9 |||||||||||9,000 ||||||||$0.45
3 ||||||27 |||||||||27,000|||||||| $0.54
4 ||||||81||||||||| 81,000 ||||||||$1.62
5 ||||||243||||||| 243,000||||||| $4.86
6 ||||||729||||||| 729,000||||||| $14.58
7 ||||||2,187||||| 2,187,000||||| $43.74
8 |||||6,561|||||| 6,561,000 |||||$328.05
9 |||||19,683|||| 19,683,000|||| $984.15
10|||| 59,049||| 59,049,000|||| $8,857.35
Total|88,572||| 88,572,000 ||||$10,235.49
You get your cut of the RSR by reaching 1000 page views and this table is based on each referral averaging 1000 page views a month which is actually quite minimal. Reaching 1000 page views takes very little time especially with good content and active friends. Everyone keep learning and keep sharing. Look for new posts shortly.

Yuwie Referrals
If you have already signed up on Yuwie and logged in to your control panel then you might have noticed the box labeled "Your Referral URL" on the left side of the control panel. Anytime you share this link with someone and the click on it, your referral info is left on their computer for 30 days. If that person signs up to Yuwie in the next 30 days they will count as your referral. They are known as a level 1 referral because they came from your link.
When that person signs up make sure to drop by their profile and help them get started on Yuwie. Not only is this the right thing to do but you will get paid to do it because all the page views of your friends count towards yours as well. You get 10% of the RSR for the month for every 1000 page views you generate through your level 1 referrals.
Encourage your referrals to gain referrals by using their Referral URL because their level 1 referrals become your level 2 referrals. This continues all the way to 10 levels. Different levels have different percentages for the RSR for the month and they break down like this:
You - 10%
Level 1 - 10%
Level 2- 10%
Level 3 - 4%
Level 4 - 4%
level 5 - 4%
Level 6 - 4%
Level 7 - 4%
Level 8 - 10%
Level 9 - 10%
Level 10 - 30%
As you can see, a big chunk of your income will come from level 10. The best income generating strategy that I've seen is to have a high number of referrals in your level 10 because you not only get 30% of the RSR, but you should have the most referrals there since all your other referrals will trickle down into it. The introduction videos on Yuwie explain the Pay It Forward method of referrals to explain the potential Yuwie has. If you only refer 3 people, and those 3 people refer 3 people down through 10 levels you would have 88,000 referrals. The sad thing is that it doesn't always work out that way, in face it never does. The great thing is that there is definite possibility to reach that stage. Even if you are only half that, I would say you've done an excellent job.
The videos also state having a 90% failure rate in that perfect situation would also lead to $1000 USD a month if the RSR was $0.50. Thats still pretty good money to hang out and talk to friends. Yuwie is a great experience and I like the community much more then I like Myspace or Facebook, even though I've been using them for years. Since users are getting paid to use Yuwie, I see alot of strong social networking and tons of original content and creative ideas daily. The community is very willing to help which makes it great.
There will be more about referrals later on. This has only been an introduction to the power of Yuwie.
